The company was operated from1971, originally importing coarse fish from the Netherlands. It established Cleaves Farm at Skerne (near Driffield in East Yorkshire) as a Fish Farm in 1975,and has been selling live Coarse Fish and Trout from here ever since.

The fish farm covers about 85 acres of land on both banks of the West Beck, a chalk stream tribuatory of the River Hull. The water quality is as good as anywhere in the UK.The Fish Farm is one of the largest restocking fish farms in the UK and the only fish farm that caters wholly for all your restocking requirements.(the Fish Farm produces both Coarse Fish and Trout)
The following fish species are reared on the farm: Carp, Tench, Bream, Rudd,Crucian Carp, Crucian Crosses, Ide, Chub, Barbel, Wels Catfish, Rainbow Trout, Blue Rainbows,Brown Trout, Ghost Carp, Gold Carp and Golden Orfe.
