Our Fish Stocks

The majority of our stocks are reproduced by artificial stripping of eggs and milt, the fry are then reared indoors, in our modern sophisticated warm water hatcheries [13 degrees c for Ide and 23 degrees C for Carp]. Fingerlings are then reared in over 60 acres of purpose built rearing ponds, hence we have fast growth rates and high quality control.

Coarse Fish Availability

Bream: over 1lb are available between June and April. Small Carp are available from July to April, all other coarse fish are available between October and April. The earlier they are ordered, the easier it is to fulfil requirements, and the better condition they will be in.

Carp: due to the Carp's inability to cope with long winters and its susceptabilty to stress, we do not recomend stocking Carp over 10 inches between January and June.

Trout: available all the year round.

 

Guarantee on delivery

We guarantee live fish delivery of fish. In the extremely unlikely event of fatalities you will be offered replacement fish immediatly or cost returned.

However, on the assumption that you are pleased with your fish, our driver will present you with a delivery note for your signature, indicating that you are satisfied with the quality of the fish and they are in good condition.

In general, delivery will be by our own transport. The fish travel in well oxygenated tanks. Small orders can be sent by overnight haulier packed in oxygen poly-bags at approx £46 for the fist box and £26 for subequent boxes.

Customers can collect their own fish (packed in poly bags) by appointment.
