Crucian Carp
Not to be confused with its larger namesake, the crucian carp is not directly related to the common/mirror carp. The fish prefers pond or lakes and is , for its size, a renowned fighter. The record stands at 4lb 8oz. and was caught in 2000.
Also available-Crucian Carp Crosses are bred on the Farm.They are produced by crossing a Male Crucian (Carassius Carissius) with a Female Brown Goldfish (Carissius Auratus). They are faster growing than the true Crucian Carp, and are better able to co-exist with King Carp.The prices are the same as Crucian Carp.
